Promoting Irish-American Culture
and Preserving Local Histories
Through Year-Round Programs

Previous Festivals

The Crossroads Irish-American Festival takes place every March in the San Francisco Bay Area. Every year, we offer events for adults and children that provide meaningful opportunities to explore the history and culture of an Irish heritage.  Each Festival embraces a theme; themes over the years have included The Irish & The Jews (2012), Irish-American Literature and Oral History (2011), Irish-American Spirituality (2010), The Art & History of Storytelling (2009), and Family As History (2008).

The aim of the Crossroads Irish-American Festival is to convene and inspire the Irish and Irish-American communities of the San Francisco Bay Area and beyond to explore and reveal the often hidden histories of the Irish in the Americas. We have achieved this aim through featuring writers, musicians, actors, poets, historians, and storytellers at the Festival who manifest the meaning of an Irish-American heritage through their works.
